Abstract:
Provided is a handrail guide device of a passenger conveyor, wherein a plurality of guide rollers are brought into contact with the obverse side of a handrail, the reverse side of the handrail is pressed by a plurality of pressing rollers, and the handrail is prevented from rising away from the guide rollers. In addition, a guide unit to which the plurality of guide rollers are attached is caused to advance toward and retract from the handrail, and the tension of the handrail is adjusted, thereby preventing the handrail from slackening and rising away from the guide rollers. Moreover, damage to the obverse side of the handrail caused by the handrail being repeatedly distanced from and brought into contact with the guide rollers is prevented.
