Abstract:
Provided is a heat exchange member having excellent resistance against external impact and thermal stress. The heat exchange member 1 is for exchanging heat between a first fluid and a second fluid that flows through the outside of a covering member 9, said heat exchange member 1 comprising: a hollow column-shaped honeycomb structure 8 having partitioning walls 5, an inner circumferential wall 6, and an outer circumferential wall 7, said partitioning walls partitioning and forming cells 4 that form a flow path for the first fluid and penetrate from a first bottom surface 2 to a second bottom surface 3; and the covering member 9 covering the outer circumferential wall 7 of the hollow column-shaped honeycomb structure 8. In this heat exchange member 1, the cells 4 are provided radially, in a cross-section of the hollow column-shaped honeycomb structure 8 that is vertical to the flow path direction for the first fluid, and the thickness of the inner circumferential wall 6 and the outer circumferential wall 7 is greater than the thickness of the partitioning walls 5.
