Abstract:
Provided are: a heat exchanger (1) which easily achieves reduction in size and weight, and which has reduced deformation caused by thermal expansion; and a method for producing the same. Clad plates (200) are prepared which each include: a core material layer (A) that is formed from an aluminum alloy containing Mg; and a brazing material layer (B) that is formed from an aluminum alloy which essentially contains Si, which contains at least one of Li, Be, and Bi, and which has a restricted Mg content. An inner fin (3) is prepared which is formed from aluminum or an aluminum alloy. An object to be processed (10) is assembled which includes: a hollow structure (20) that is composed of the clad plates (200), that has the brazing material layers (B) disposed on the inner side thereof, and that includes contact portions (201) at which the brazing material layers (B) are in contact with each other; the inner fin (3) that is stored in the hollow structure (20); and a flux that contains Cs and that is applied on the contact portions (201) and the vicinity thereof. In an inert gas atmosphere, the object to be processed (10) is heated so as to undergo brazing, and thereby, the heat exchanger (1) is made.
