Abstract:
An inorganic fiber containing, as principal components, K2O, MgO, SiO2, and Al2O3, where MgO > 20 mol% and SiO2 ≦ 53 mol%. An inorganic fiber containing, as principal components, K2O, MgO, SiO2, and Al2O3, where K2O < 12 mol%. An inorganic fiber containing, as principal components, K2O, MgO, SiO2, and Al2O3, where the amount of K2O, MgO, SiO2, and Al2O3 satisfies the following composition. K2O: 5-30 wt%, MgO: 5-30 wt%, Al2O3: 20-65 wt%, and SiO2: 10-45 wt%.
