Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat storage combustion deodorizing device that demonstrates excellent workability due to a compact structure and that can improve the decomposition efficiency of organic matter in a gas to be treated, and a method for operating the heat storage combustion deodorizing device. This heat storage combustion deodorizing device (1) comprises: a heat storage region (10) comprising a combustion chamber (40) and heat storage chambers (11) that are in communication with the combustion chamber (40) and each have a heat storage body (12) built therein; a gas supply flow path (50) for supplying the gas to be treated to the combustion chamber (40); a gas exhaust flow path (60) for venting an exhaust gas to the atmosphere; and a purge flow path (70) that suctions a portion of the exhaust gas as a purge gas from the combustion chamber (40) and causes the purge gas to recirculate through the gas supply flow path (50). The heat storage chambers (11) are formed by being divided into at least five chambers, and operations including a gas supply mode, a gas exhaust mode, and a purge mode are performed while appropriately selecting the respective heat storage chambers (11).
