Abstract:
A heat absorption/release system according to the present disclosure uses a heat medium that contains a rubidium-manganese-iron cyano complex. This heat absorption/release system applies a pressure to the heat medium so that the rubidium-manganese-iron cyano complex undergoes a phase transition from a high-temperature phase to a low-temperature phase, thereby causing the heat medium to release heat; and this heat absorption/release system releases the applied pressure from the heat medium so that the rubidium-manganese-iron cyano complex undergoes a phase transition from a low-temperature phase to a high-temperature phase, thereby causing the heat medium to absorb heat. This heat absorption/release system repeats application and release of a pressure to the heat medium. Consequently, the present disclosure enables efficient absorption and release of heat by effectively utilizing the characteristics of a rubidium-manganese-iron cyano complex.
