Abstract:
The present invention improves the seal between a helmet and a shield thereof. A helmet is provided with: a substantially spherical main headwear body (10) with an opening (11) that opens at least to the front in order to provide a field of view to the wearer; a shield (20) that is connected to a pair of turning mechanisms (12a, 12b) provided so as to protrude from both side faces of the main headwear body (10) and is able to move between a closed position in which the shield is fixed in such a way that the opening (11) is covered and an open position in which the shield is fixed in such a way that the opening (11) is unencumbered; and a seal member (14) for sealing, when the shield (20) is in the closed position, the gap between the upper side of the shield (20) and the upper side (111) of the opening of the main headwear body from the vicinity of one turning mechanism (12a) to the vicinity of the other turning mechanism (12b). The helmet is configured so that the upper edge of the shield (20) is bent toward the main headwear body (10) at least at the upper side of the sealing member (14) near the left and right ends (141a, 141b) thereof.
