Abstract:
Provided is a hermetic terminal with a configuration allowing a stress due to distortion of a metal outer ring caused by spiral fastening or the like to be mitigated and prevented from readily transmitted to an insulator of a lead sealing portion. The hermetic terminal comprises: a metal outer ring (13) having a passing hole (11) provided for spiral fixing and a sealing hole (12); a lead (14) passed through the sealing hole (12) of the metal outer ring (13); and an insulator (15) sealing the metal outer ring (13) and the lead (14). The metal outer ring (13) has a cavity (13a) and a step portion (13b) around the sealing hole (12).
