Abstract:
Provided is a rear-surface electrode type solar cell having an impurity diffusion layer in which impurities of a second conductivity type are diffused and which is formed on the rear surface, which is a non-light-receiving surface, of a semiconductor substrate of a first conductivity type, the rear-surface electrode type solar cell being provided with an electrode connecting to the impurity diffusion layer, wherein the surface concentration of the impurities in the impurity diffusion layer is 5×1017 to 5×1019 atms/cm3 inclusive, and the diffusion depth of the impurities in the impurity diffusion layer is 1 to 2.9 µm inclusive from the surface of the substrate rear surface. Due to this configuration, it is possible to provide a highly efficient rear-surface electrode type solar cell that can be manufactured at a low cost and with a simple method.
