Description:
HINGE MECHANISM FOR TRAILER DOORS (COVER)

Technological Field:

The present invention relates to a trailer cover hinge mechanism for opening and closing the covers of the semi-trailers located at the rear of the conveying means.

Known State of the Technology:

The trailer, which is also known as the trailer-bed used in the transportation of different products in transportation, is attached to vehicles with various structures.

Turkey also shares in passenger and freight transport on the roads of the road transport sector compared with other modes of transport has an important share. Road transport has a share of 96% in passenger transportation and 92% in freight transportation. In such an important transportation, business managers or company owners always want to minimize production and distribution costs in order to compete with their rivals in the face of increasing competition. For this reason, the operation processes are determined and the costs are calculated by including the loading and unloading times in transportation.

In the transport sector, the section where the products are stored and transported is the trailers and trailer-beds behind the truck. It is widely used in sand, gravel, chippings, cereal products and mineral transportation as bulk cargo as well as all kinds of pallets, bagged and packaged products thanks to its operable cover and trailer posts. Covers can be opened and closed with hook system.

. Lots of these trailers,

l which are frequently encountered in the market, have difficulties in manual latching hook structures causing dirt and rust formation over time. Hooks are hammered with jack hammers, hammer, stone and they are tried to be put into place and broken by time.

In reference to utility model TR200806024,“Construction of trailer rear door hinge system” is described. Invention; The trailer attached to the rear of the tow trucks, known as the trailer truck, used for road freight transport, relates to the hinges positioned at certain intervals to the side of said doors, which enable the doors to be opened and closed by connecting the doors on the saddle side plate on the rear side of said trailer.

In the aforementioned utility model application, the hinge system and the doors are opened and closed by connecting them on the trailer at certain intervals. But this connection is with the shaft. Over time, the hinge collects of dust, oil, etc. As a result of the accumulation of substances, it is difficult to return the shafts. The manual system forces the user and the large number of parts increases the costs.

In the existing systems, the trailer covers have a manual locking system causes difficulties in loading and unloading processes and cause the process to prolong. The extension of the loading process increases costs.

As a result, there is a need for new technology which can overcome the aforementioned disadvantages, with auto-lockable latching doors, reducing the workload in transportation, eliminating the loss of time and enabling more efficient working.

Definition of the Invention:

The present invention is a trailer cover hinge mechanism which can overcome the above mentioned disadvantages; it is a new and low cost technology which reduces the workload in transportation by means of flatbed doors with automatic opening lock structure, eliminates the loss of time and enables more efficient work. The invention removes all disadvantages that meet the above mentioned requirements and provides additional advantages. The invention is made of unbreakable stainless materials. It is compatible with any cover level. The industrialists meet the needs of the transporters and manufacturers. It is designed to eliminate the problem of long and heavy loads.

In order to prevent the top cover from falling on the lower cover, the shaft of the truck is also located in the shaft. Because of this shaft, the caps are kept constant. There is a hinge between the side covers. Because of the hinges, the caps are rotated and folded over each other.

The invention features a more robust locking system with lighter and more durable materials. The strength calculations are taken into account in overloads. It is made of high quality and durable products.

In terms of functionality of the invention, the area is also easy to use. It is also preferred because of its durability and wide application area. The low number of parts constituting the invention and the ease of assembly reduce the costs.

K1 Housing (slots) Description of the Invention:

The invention relates to a hatch mechanism for a trailer hatch which includes a trailer post (4), which permits locking of the trailer covers used in trucks or trucks. At least one engine (2), positioned on the trailer post (4), at least one hinge (1) associated with the engine (2), with the shaft (5) and the shaft (5) positioned in the vertical direction trailer post (4). It consists of the associated housing (Kl). (Figure- 1, Figure-3, Figure-

4)·

The invention has hinge (1) with hinge bevel gear (1.1) on it. The invention has a engine ( 2) with engine bevel gear (2.1) on it. The invention has a cover (K) with a housing (Kl) on it (Figure-2, Figure-3, Figure-4). The invention has a shaft (5) with a tab (5.1) on it (Figure-8, Figure-9, Figure-10).

The alternative embodiment of the invention comprises at least one hinge (1) positioned on the trailer post (4) (Figure-5, Figure-6, Figure-7).

Detailed Description of the Invention:

The components of the invention are basically; hinge (1), hinge bevel gear (1.1), engine (2), engine bevel gear (2.1), shaft (5) and housing (Kl) (Figure-2, Figure-3, Figure-4).

The operation of the invention is as follows. When the button is pressed, the tab (5.1) is released from the lid (K). The shaft (5), positioned so that it is parallel to the trailer post(4), moves upwards into the trailer post (4) and enters the housing (Kl) located at the edge of the upper cover (K). The post of the trailer (4) and the covers (K) are disconnected from the chassis and come to the free position (Figure-7, Figure-9, Figure- 10).

The invention works by rotating the engine (2) on the trailer post (4). The engine (2) transmits this rotational movement to the engine bevel gear (2.1). The engine bevel gear (2.1) begins to rotate. The hinge bevel gear (1.1) associated with the engine bevel gear (2.1) rotates together. With this rotation movement, the trailer opens on the trailer post (4) by rotating the hinges (1) on the hinges (1). The first cover (K) is connected to the second cover (K) by a hinge (1) and at the same time the two are folded one on the other. Thus, for the three-door cover (K) semi-trailer, the first two covers (K) rotate one by one, while the third cover (K) rotates by itself by means of the hinge (1) located on the post (4) of the trailer. For the trailer with four covers (K), the first two covers (K) and the last two covers (K) are folded over each other by means of the hinge (1) between them. Then the hinges (1) on the father of the trailer (4) and the caps (K) are opened by turning (Figure-4, Figure-5).

The alternative embodiments of the invention include, but are not limited to; hinges (1) and trailer post (4) (Figure- 1, Figure-5, Figure-6).

The alternative embodiment of the invention is as follows; The shaft (5), which is positioned in the trailer post (4) and parallel to the trailer post (4) by turning the handle (3) manually, enters upwards into the slot (Kl) located on the edge of the top cover (K). The unlocked and released cover (K) is rotatable to the opening and closing position by means of the hinge (1) located on the trailer post (4). The first cover (K) is connected to the second cover (K) by a hinge (1) and at the same time the two are folded over one another. Thus, for the three-door (K) semi-trailer, the first two covers (K) rotate one by one, while the third cover (K) rotates by itself by means of the hinge (1) located on the post (4) of the trailer. For the four-door (K) semi-trailer, the hinges (1) are opened by rotating the caps (K) with the hinges (1) located on the trailer post (4), and the first two covers (K) and the last two covers (K) are placed on top of each other by means of the hinge (1) between them. The covers (K) are opened by folding (Figure-5, Figure-6, Figure-7).
