Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a homogenizer provided with a convex lens array pair including a first convex lens array arranged on a light entry side and a second convex lens array arranged on a light exit side, the homogenizer being configured such that: the first convex lens array and the second convex lens array are arranged so that the respective lens surfaces oppose each other facing outwards or inwards; the first convex lens array includes a plurality of first convex lenses of the same shape arranged in an array on one surface; the second convex lens array includes a plurality of second convex lenses of the same shape arranged in an array on one surface; the first convex lenses and the second convex lenses form convex lens pairs that share an axis of symmetry while facing one another; and the first convex lenses have, in a lens cross-section containing the axis of symmetry, an internal mean propagation angle, relative to incident light which is parallel to the axis of symmetry and which is incident on a lens surface center region in the lens cross-section, that is at least 1.3 times an internal mean propagation angle in the same region of a spherical convex lens.
