Abstract:
The present invention is a TiAl-based alloy containing 41–43 atomic% Al, 0–2.5 atomic% Fe, 0–2.5 atomic% Ni, 0–2.0 atomic% Mo, 0–2.0 atomic% W, 0–4.5 atomic% Cr, 0–5.5 atomic% Mn, 0–10 atomic% V, 0–10 atomic% Nb, and 0.3–0.7 atomic% C, with the remainder consisting of Ti and unavoidable impurities, wherein: the alloy element parameter "P = (41.5 – Al)/3 + Fe + Ni + Mo + W + 0.5 Cr + 0.4 Mn + 0.2 V + 0.2 Nb – C" is in a compositional range of 1.1–1.9; and the alloy has a microstructure formed from a γ-phase occupying 5–30 area%, a β-phase occupying 0.5–5 area%, and a lamellar structure occupying the remainder.
