Abstract:
This hot press device comprises a first mold 2, a second mold 3, and a control unit 9. At least one among the first mold 2 and the second mold 3 has a recess section 3a on a surface facing the other mold in the pressing direction. A movable mold 4 is disposed in the recess section 3a. The control unit 9 controls the movable mold 4 so that the bottom dead center holding period, at which the first mold 2 and the second mold 3 are at bottom dead center, includes: a contact period in which the movable mold 4 makes contact with a metal plate B; and a non-contact period in which the movable mold does not make contact with the metal plate B.
