A humidification method and apparatus, and a smart home system. The method comprises: obtaining a current humidification policy for a current environment, wherein the current humidification policy comprises current target humidity and a current humidity increase rate, and a plurality of humidification devices are provided in the current environment; obtaining current indoor humidity by means of a target humidity sensor in a plurality of humidity sensors distributed indoors; if the current indoor humidity is less than the current target humidity, obtaining the humidity difference between the current indoor humidity and the current target humidity; determining a target humidity increase rate according to the current humidity increase rate and the humidity difference; obtaining a target humidification power corresponding to the target humidity increase rate; and controlling, according to the target humidification power, a target humidification device corresponding to the target humidity sensor in position. Using the humidification method can adjust the humidification power exhibited by a plurality of humidification devices as a whole.
