Abstract:
A vehicle formation that includes: an electric locomotive on which a travel motive force generation device is installed; at least one hydrogen power generation car that is connected to the electric locomotive; and a trailing car that is disconnectably connected to the hydrogen power generation car. The hydrogen power generation car comprises: a carriage that is towed by the electric locomotive; a hydrogen power generation unit that is supported on the carriage and has a hydrogen storage unit and a fuel cell power generation module that generates power by electrochemically reacting hydrogen and oxygen; and supply wiring that supplies power from the hydrogen power generation unit to the travel motive force generation device of the electric locomotive.
