Abstract:
Provided are an illumination device and a display device with which illumination quality can be improved and the illumination device can be thinned.　The illumination device comprises: a transparent substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface; a reflective member positioned separated from the transparent substrate, and having a light-reflecting surface facing the first main surface; and a plurality of light-emitting elements provided to the first main surface. Light emitted from the light-emitting elements is reflected by the light-reflecting surface and emitted from the second main surface.
