Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an image capture apparatus that has the advantage of being able to reduce the influence of stray light on a captured image. [Solution] An image capture apparatus comprising: a semiconductor substrate having a plurality of effective pixels that perform photoelectric conversion; an effective covering portion including an optical element and covering the plurality of effective pixels of the semiconductor substrate; and a periphery covering portion covering a portion of the semiconductor substrate located outside the plurality of effective pixels. An effective pixel region structure includes the plurality of effective pixels and the effective covering portion. A periphery region structure includes a portion of the semiconductor substrate located outside the plurality of effective pixels, and the periphery covering portion. The periphery region structure includes a concave boundary former having a concave boundary surface.
