Abstract:
The present invention provides an image collection device which has a high degree of freedom in sensor positioning and with which sensor size can be reduced. The present invention is an image collection device which collects an image for identification processing of a coin-shaped medium that passes through a conveyance path, said device characterized by comprising: a conveyance unit which conveys the coin-shaped medium; an image sensor which comprises an image capture element which captures an image of the coin-shaped medium; a control unit which controls an image capture time interval for the image capture element to collect a plurality of medium images when a single coin-shaped medium passes; and a selection unit which, from among the collected plurality of medium images, selects a specific medium image as the image for identification processing.
