Abstract:
Disclosed is image encoding and decoding technology in the field of computers. The present invention particularly relates to an image encoding and decoding method based on wavelet transform. The method comprises: during encoding, carrying out, according to a wavelet transform model, wavelet transform N times on an image to be encoded to obtain a wavelet coefficient, wherein the wavelet transform model is achieved on the basis of a CNN; quantizing the wavelet coefficient to obtain a quantized wavelet coefficient; and carrying out entropy encoding on the quantized wavelet coefficient to obtain a compressed code stream; and during decoding, carrying out entropy decoding on the compressed code stream to obtain a reconstructed wavelet coefficient; carrying out inverse quantization on the reconstructed wavelet coefficient to obtain an inversely quantized wavelet coefficient; and carrying out, according to the wavelet transform model, inverse wavelet transform N times on the inversely quantized wavelet coefficient to obtain a reconstructed image, wherein the wavelet transform model is achieved on the basis of the CNN. Using the embodiments of the present invention facilitates an improvement in the encoding and decoding performance of an image.
