Abstract:
The present invention provides a technology for encoding or decoding an image to which a resolution enhancement technique for improving image compression efficiency is selectively applied, and proposes technologies for picture buffer management and for signaling information related thereto which are necessary for selectively applying the resolution enhancement technique. One purpose of the present invention is to improve the image compression efficiency by selectively applying the resolution enhancement technique.
