Provided is an image formation device that can be fitted with a toner container having an opening part and a shutter, wherein the image formation device has a fitting part, a storage part configured so as to store toner, a stirring member that stirs the toner in the storage part, an actuator, and a control unit. The fitting part has an engaging part that engages with the shutter, an operating part that moves together with the shutter due to the engaging part engaging with the shutter and that can move between a first position at which the shutter is in the closed position and a second position at which the shutter is in the open position, and a detection unit that detects the movement of the operating part. The control unit controls the actuator so that the stirring member begins to be driven on the basis of the detection, by the detection unit, of the movement of the operating part from the second position to the first position.
