Abstract:
The present invention inhibits a situation where an image formation preparation operation which is started in response to a preceding command transmitted prior to printing data becomes wasted. A CPU (91) of an MFP (1) causes an image formation unit (4) to start an image formation preparation operation and prohibits a LAN interface (13) from receiving second printing data from a second external terminal when a USB interface (12) has received a preceding command from a first external terminal, and, upon completion of a RIP process for generating raster data from the first printing data, permits the LAN interface (13) to receive the second printing data from the second external terminal.
