Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a video acquisition unit for acquiring scenery video obtained by imaging the scenery from a mobile object; a frame selection unit for selecting a plurality of frame images from the scenery video; an index acquisition unit for acquiring an importance index indicating the importance of each of the plurality of frame images that have been selected; and a composite image generation unit for generating one composite image by scaling down each of the plurality of frame images that have been selected at a scale-down rate corresponding to the importance indicated by the importance index associated with each of the plurality of images, so as to reduce the dimension of a first direction corresponding to a direction of movement of the mobile object, and by combining the reduced images in the order in which the images were captured.
