Abstract:
Provided are an image encoding/decoding method and apparatus. The image decoding method, performed by an image decoding apparatus, according to the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: on the basis of information regarding a prediction mode of a current block, determining whether or not the prediction mode of the current block is an intra prediction mode; when the prediction mode of the current block is the intra prediction mode, parsing a first syntax element for indicating a type of an intra prediction technique applied to the current block; determining, by using the first syntax element, the type of the intra prediction technique applied to the current block; and on the basis of the determined intra prediction technique, generating a prediction block for the current block.
