Abstract:
The present invention performs correction relating to an image artifact concerning brightness and color due to a high-brightness area to be displayed, by taking the brightness of a display device into consideration. For this purpose, an image processing device comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires information corresponding to a brightness range that a display device is capable of displaying; a deriving unit which, on the basis of a maximum brightness indicated by the acquired information, derives a correction amount for correcting an artifact in image data to be displayed; and a correction unit which generates display image data by correcting the image data on the basis of the derived correction amount.
