Abstract:
Provided are a device and method for exercising AR image display control that suppresses the boundary region of virtual and real objects from standing out. The present invention has a real object detection unit for executing a process of detecting a real object in a real world, and an AR image display control unit for generating an augmented reality (AR) image in which a virtual object is visually recognized as existing in the same space as the real object and outputting the generated AR image to a display unit. When the position of the real object detected by the real object detection unit is more to the front than the position in the depth direction at which the virtual object displayed on the display unit is arranged, the AR image display control unit outputs an additional virtual object to the display unit more to the front than the position of the real object in the depth direction so as to hide at least a portion of the boundary region of the virtual and real objects.
