Abstract:
A processor according to the present invention detects a structure of interest from a plurality of tomographic images expressing a plurality of tomographic planes of a subject. The processor selects, in a region where the structure of interest has been detected, a tomographic image from among the plurality of tomographic images in accordance with the type of structure of interest, and generates a composite two-dimensional image using the selected tomographic image in the region where the structure of interest was detected, and using a predetermined tomographic image in a region where the structure of interest was not detected.
