Abstract:
[Problem] To enable restoration of image quality suitable for an HDR image from an SDR image without requiring complicated implementation. [Solution] Provided is an image processing device provided with: a decoding unit which decodes a prediction parameter that is used when an image of a second layer having a larger luminance dynamic range than a first layer is predicted from an image of the first layer, and includes a gain and an offset by which each color component of the first layer is multiplied; and a prediction unit which, using the prediction parameter decoded by the decoding unit, predicts the image of the second layer from the image of the first layer.
