Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an image processing method, an image processing apparatus and the like whereby the influence of moire can be suppressed without degradation in resolution of images. [Solution] An image is captured in a state that moire (M), which occurs during an image capture executed with focus achieved, has occurred; the spatial frequency component corresponding to the moire (M) is removed from the captured image by use of a high-pass filter (12), thereby generating a first image; the image is captured in defocus by use of a camera (2); a low-pass filter (13) is applied to this captured image, thereby generating a second image; and the first and second images are combined, thereby generating a third image in which the moire (M) has been eliminated or suppressed.
