Abstract:
A search unit (105) of this image selection device (100) is provided with an information generation unit (610) and an image selection unit (620). The information generation unit (610) generates, from each of a plurality of relevant images, orientation information of a person included in the relevant image and other information pertaining to the person. The image selection unit (620) classifies the plurality of relevant images using the orientation information and other information and selects at least one desired image from among the plurality of relevant images. When desired images are to be selected, the search unit (105) is furthermore provided with a query acquisition unit (640). The query acquisition unit (640) acquires a query image. The information generation unit (610) furthermore generates orientation information of the person included in the query image and generates the other information. The image selection unit (620) selects at least one desired image using the orientation information and other information of the query image and each of the plurality of relevant images.
