Abstract:
A camera (imaging device) comprising: an imaging control unit (imaging unit) for generating a video signal by imaging an observed object using an exposure state corresponding to an illumination intensity (brightness) measured by an illumination intensity sensor (brightness measuring unit) for measuring an illumination intensity outside a vehicle; a first imaging mode setting unit for setting the exposure state to be used when the imaging control unit is performing imaging, on the basis of the illumination intensity and a signal level of the video signal generated by the imaging control unit; and a video output unit for outputting the video signal imaged using the exposure state set by the first imaging mode setting unit.
