Abstract:
Provided is an imaging device which can reliably achieve both a wide angle of view and an improvement in productivity. This imaging device 100 comprises a pair of camera modules 2 each including an imaging element 4 and a lens unit 3, and optical axes OA of the lens units 3 are disposed parallel to each other. The pair of camera modules 2 both have a configuration in which the imaging elements 4 and the lens units 3 are disposed relative to each other such that centers C of the imaging elements 4 are separated by the same distance from the optical axis OA in the same direction. With respect to the orientation of one camera module 2, the other camera module 2 is disposed in an orientation which is inverted and rotates around an axis of rotation RA along the optical axis OA. Read-out directions Dh, Dv of signals from the imaging element 4 of the other camera module 2 are set to the reverse direction with respect to read-out directions Dh, Dv of signals from the imaging element 4 preset for the one camera module 2.
