Abstract:
An apparatus for performing borehole multidimensional imaging, comprising: an acquisition unit that periodically acquires a formation resistivity signal, an ultrasonic echo signal, and an orientation signal; a sector calculation unit that calculates the current sector according to the orientation signal; and a multidimensional imaging unit, wherein the multidimensional imaging unit calculates a resistivity, a distance from a drilling tool to a borehole wall, and ultrasonic echo amplitude data according to the acquired signals, and distributes the data to all the sectors for performing feature recognition and extraction so as to obtain a key feature representing the current drilled formation, and the key feature is transmitted to the ground so as to be used for instructing drilling engineering. The present apparatus can reduce the structural complexity and the length of a borehole imaging measurement instrument, and can directly perform feature recognition on imaging data in a borehole, and generates the data of several bytes to represent the feature of a formation, thereby greatly improving transmission efficiency.
