Abstract:
This imaging system is provided with: a stereoscopic endoscope (2) comprising parallax imaging optical systems (22L, 22R) and an imaging element (23L) and imaging element (23R); and a processor (3) comprising a first photometer (38) for measuring the brightness value of a first imaging signal of imaging element (23L), a second photometer (39) for measuring the brightness value of a second imaging signal of imaging element (23R), and a control unit (31) having a threshold value comparison unit (31a) for comparing the brightness values with a threshold value. When either of the brightness values of the first imaging signal and second imaging signal is more than the threshold value, a light source is subjected to dimming control on the basis of the photometric value of the imaging signal for the other side.
