Abstract:
The invention is a personal care compact device (gadget) comprised of a scratching jaw for skin (4) and a depositor of immune aids (3) that is either a porous mass or a vial. It is claimed that controlled exposure of body to microbes/viruses, as administered by this device, elicits the creation of antibodies, thus boosting the immune memory, which augments the resilience of humans and animals to transmissible diseases. Casually contracted pathogens that are assisted entering the skin in small numbers (doses) through imperceptible scuffs, initiate in real time and at the actual site where the holder uses the device, an immune response that prevents subsequent infections from massive attacks of the same type of pathogens. The device does not cause addiction or side effects and gradually builds up immunity to people, who eventually form a barrier preventing the spread of flu outbreaks and the prevalence of other airborne diseases.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. The immune booster jaw is a compact innovative personal tool (gadget) that is used to strengthen the immune system with antibodies by scratching the skin of humans and vertebrates in combination with immune adjuvants. It is characterized in that it has a scraper (4) i.e. a scrapping surface that is flat, convex, pleated of a defined or irregular form equipped with tiny teeth of repetitive or non-repetitive configuration, positioned on the head (1) of the tool, a handle (2) for holding the tool and a depositor (3) that constitutes one single part with the scraper (4) or it is a separate part and contains immunologic additives, which it diffuses passively or actively by mechanical means on a number of epidermal cells in the scratched area during a repetitive rubbing of the skin with the scraper.

2. The depositor (3) of dispersing the immunologic additives according to claim 1, is characterized in that it is a solid/semi-solid porous mass or it has the form of a liquid container that contains immunologic additives, which are deposited passively during scratching of the skin or are actively released through mechanical means to the scratched area and the teeth of the scraper (4).

3. The depositor (3) of immune booster jaw according to claim 2 is characterized in that it can as a matter of choice release onto the scratching area perfumes and substances which cause a pleasant sensation and euphoria and do not belong to the category of immune additives referred to in claims 1 and 2. 4. The immune booster jaw as described according to claims 1, 2 and 3 may occasionally be constructed in the form of small decorative or utility and personal objects in order to attract the attention of certain categories of individuals and in that characterize the present invention.

5. A method of building the immune system booster jaw as characterized according to claims 1 , 2, 3 and 4 it may be assembled, mounted, adapted, attached, bonded, carved on utility objects, which are thus used in addition to their initial purpose for scratching the skin and depositing immunologic additives and, thus acquire the characteristics referred to in the present invention.

The method of scratching as applied according to claims 1 and 2 by the immune booster jaw may also be undertaken by natural or artificial coarse material fixtures and applied concurrently, prior or after the scratching onto the skin with the dispersion of immune additives as recited in claims 1 and 2, characterizes the technical scope of the present invention.

7. The mechanical movement that takes place during scratching of the skin and concurrently diffuses the immunologic adjuvants throughout the scratched area and the teeth of the scraper (4) according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, may as an option be undertaken automatically by an electric-powered scraper (3) and regulated for a precision scuffing of the skin by a specifically designed integrated electronic circuit that controls the dimensions of the scratching area and the quantity of immunologic additives, which in that characterize the present invention. 8. The container referred to as depositor (3) according to claims 1 and 2 may be in the form of a replaceable phial, vial, cartridge, ampule containing appropriate immunological adjuvants or immune aids and immune additives, oils, vitamins fit to various types of individual’s immune system dispositions or preferences and as such characterize the present invention.

CLAIM 1. An immune booster jaw is a handheld immune prodding device adapted to apply abrasion, scratching and irritation or imperceptible scuffs in contact to the skin without causing skin cut and/or removing skin and adapted to spread immune adjuvants to the irritated, inflamed or redden part of the skin composed of a scraper (4) having a scrapping surface that is flat, convex, pleated of a defined or irregular form equipped with tiny teeth or pins made of inert and anti-allergenic synthetic, semi-synthetic organic solid materials or mixtures thereof of repetitive or non-repetitive teeth configuration, positioned on the head (1) of the device, a handle (2) for holding the device and a depositor (3) positioned at the head (1) of the device made of porous, gelatinous, spongy or solid and semi-solid material impregnated with immunologic adjuvants and/or communicating via a liquid conduit to a container, flexible vial, cartridge, phial, ampule etc. that contains soluble or liquid immunologic additives, which are deposited either passively by friction during a repetitive dragging of the said porous material on the skin or released by an active mechanical manner from the container to the porous material and dispersed thereafter on a number of epidermal cells during a repetitive rubbing of the skin, is characterized in that: the depositor (3) constitutes one single fixture-part with the scraper (4) acting in combination and in complement to each other and when rubbed, slid or rolled with a repetitive movement on a point of the skin of humans or animals irritates the point of the skin that is applied, the said immunologic additives selected to best fit to the various types of individual's immune system dispositions or preferences elicit the creation of antibodies and strengthen the immune ability of the body.

CLAIM 2. A device according to claim 1 wherein the skin irritation applied by the scraper (4) is a hematoma or trauma.

CLAIM 3. A device according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the scraper (4) constitutes with the depositor (3) a separate fixture-part composed of tiny pins applied by a single mechanical movement to skin tingles, pinches or prickles.

CLAIM 4. A device according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the depositor (3) made of solid or semi-solid material is a roller-ball.

CLAIM 5. A device according to any of claims 1 to 3 wherein the mechanical movement of the scraper (4), is generated automatically by an electric-powered scraper and regulated for applying a precision tingling, pinching, pickling or a defined size surface scratching of the skin by a specifically designed integrated electronic circuit.

CLAIM 6. A device according to any of claims 1 to 5 wherein a housing of the devices is generally as hereinbefore described with reference to, and/or as illustrated in, the accompanying figures.

CLAIM 7. A device according to claim 6 wherein the housing is constituent of decorative, utility or personal objects.

CLAIM 8. A use of immune booster jaw comprising according to any proceeding claim immune prodding devices for increasing body immunity levels in humans and animals wherein the scraper (4) integrated with the depositor (3) into one single fixture-part or constituting a separate fixture-part of the devices act in combination and in complement to each other, adapted to foster skin irritation, inflammation, hematoma, trauma by applying scratching, tingling or other physical force to a point of the skin of humans or animals, where thereby minor number of live viruses, bacteria, fungi present in the immediate vicinity of the user of the devices and drawn accidentally or intentionally to the irritated point of the skin elicit to activate an immune response, any antigens created at each point of irritated skin are fought by antibodies of the immune system of vertebrates, the depositor (3) spreads on the damaged part of the skin as applied by a physical force immunologic additives contained in a replaceable phial, vial, cartridge, ampule, the additives being immune adjuvants of different composition selected from available or newly discovered immune adjuvants to best fit in the various types of individual's immune system dispositions or preferences and thus the immune adjuvants enhance the body's response to antigens, replicates vigorously the corresponding antibodies making them more effective to protect people for longer than they otherwise would and create immune memory.

CLAIM 9. A method for enhancing body immunity by immune prodding devices according to any of claims 1 to 5, composed of a scraper (4) having a rubbing surface that is flat, convex, pleated of defined or irregular form equipped with tiny teeth or pins made of inert and anti-allergenic synthetic, semi-synthetic organic solids materials or mixtures thereof, having a repetitive or non-repetitive configuration of the teeth, positioned on the forefront of the immune prodding devices, a handle (2) for holding the scraper (4), a head (1) of the handle (2) and a depositor (3) which contains immune additives either in the form of a compact solid / semi-solid porous mass that, when rubbed, slid or rolled over the skin, are released passively on the skin due to friction and the said immune additives are further diffused on the rubbing area of the skin by the teeth of the scraper (4) during the repetitive topical rubbing of the skin, or the depositor (3) is in the form of a porous, gelatinous, spongy or solid and semi-solid material impregnated with immunologic adjuvants positioned in the forefront of the head (1) of the immune prodding devices and/or is connected via a conduit to the open end of a container, flexible vial, cartridge, phial, ampule etc. that contains soluble or liquid immunologic additives spread through the porous material on to the skin passively due to friction or released actively by mechanical means when the depositor (3) is rubbed, slid or rolled on the skin and further dispersed on the rubbing area of the skin by the teeth of the scraper (4) due to friction during the said repetitive topical rubbing of the skin, irritates, scratches and creates superficial abrasions or imperceptible cuts on the skin of humans or animals to which it is applied the said depositor integrated into one single fixture-part or constituting a separate part with the scraper (4), is characterized in performing the following steps:

1) occasional rubbing of the skin by the scraper (4), being adapted to apply a subtle abrasion to a point of the skin, provokes a topical epidermal irritation, inflammation or hematoma without causing skin cut and/or removing skin, which fosters a mild immune system response that elicits to create antigens relevant to the stimuli given by the small number or low dose of microbes drawn to the point of irritation from the immediate vicinity of the holder of the immune prodding devices at the time of rubbing,

2) the appropriate immune adjuvant are released on to the irritated point of the skin through the porous, gelatinous, spongy or solid and semi-solid material or the appropriate adjuvants are thinly spread passively due to friction to the irritated point of the epidermis from the compact solid / semi-solid porous mass of the depositor and/or by the teeth of the scraper (4) that are impregnated or coated with immune adjuvant,

3) the consecutive repetition of the skin rubbing operation increases the initial low- dose to progressively higher dose of external stimuli from accidentally or intentionally occurring microbes, which signals the body of an increased immunological danger that promotes antibody production, enhances the adaptive or specific immunity ,

4) the above steps repeated occasionally from time to time in different instances lead to the achieving of long-lasting immune memory for humans and animals.

DESCRIPTION

IMMUNE BOOSTER JAW

The invention concerns a personal care device that strengthens the immune system and improves the resilience of humans and animals empowering them in confronting transmissible diseases. Via an innovative way of controlled exposure to microbes/viruses a certain percentage of people will get the chance to be immunized (through the skin) with small doses (minor number) of live microbes accidentally occurring in the environment and, thus will have the time to develop an immune response (immune memory) for future massive attacks from the same microbe. The number of asymptomatic people formed this way will constitute a barrier to prevent further prevalence of airborne diseases. Contrary to "herd immunity" the idea develops a method of "controlled immunity" by this innovative device.

Similar personal care accessory to boost the immune system of the humans and other vertebrates has not been invented so far. The immune booster jaw according to the invention is a small original innovative device consisting of a head (1) equipped with a light scraper (4), a handle (2) for holding it and a depositor (3) for delivering immunologic additives (Figure 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). The main characteristics of the device are the scraper (4) and the depositor (3) which act in combination to produce the immune effect. Scraper (4) is the notional part of the tool that consists of a rough scratchy (rubbing) material surface equipped with tiny teeth or pins. The scraper (4) when rubbed or slid on the skin can cause abrasion, scratching, irritation or light cuts on the skin of humans or animals to which it is applied. The depositor (3) is the part of the instrument that contains appropriate immunological adjuvants (immune aids or additives), which it deposits on the skin of humans or animals. The depositor (3) with the head (1) of the instrument, the handle (2) and the scraper (4) may be either integrated into a single instrument (Figure 2, 3, 4 and 5) or the depositor (3) may be an independent component of the instrument, separated from the scraper (4) and the head (1), thus composing the immune booster jaw in two pieces (Figure 1). The depositor (3) may be of porous, gelatinous, spongy or solid and semi-solid material impregnated with immunologic adjuvants or it may be in the form of a container (vial, phial, cartridge, ampule etc.). In the latter case, the depositor contains the immunological adjuvant to be deposited in the rubbing area and also serves as the handle (2) of the instrument. The delivery of immunologic adjuvants is done, either passively by a repetitive dragging of the porous material on the skin or are released onto the rubbing area of the skin and on the teeth of the scraper (4) by an active mechanical manner.

This device is not intended to eliminate the itchy feeling of the skin, but it is applied selectively to the skin in cases where the holder realizes that s/he enters in an environment with increased probabilities of catching an airborne disease (germs or viruses), especially indoors in schools, buses, cinemas, theaters, hospitals, etc., in a crowded place or in meetings and casual contacts with people suffering from a cold, cough, runny nose, fever, etc., who presumably carry a contagious infection.

This gadget is not a drug invasive injection device that requires elaborated substances or vaccines and, according to the present invention it claims to strengthen the immune system of humans and vertebrates by causing a scratching on the skin surface, thus allowing the accidental entry of germs into the skin via the abrasions created by the scratching. When the instrument is in use, the scraper (4) carries out to the scratching surface immunological adjuvants, functional oils or aromatic substances diffused by the depositor (3). The immune aids enhance the immune ability of the body, while the aromatic substances please the senses of the person or animal to which the scratching is applied.

The scraper (4) of this instrument when rubbed, slid or rolled on the skin scratches, irritates and creates subtle scuffs on the skin of humans or animals to which it is applied. Microorganisms, viruses, etc. may accidentally enter into the light cuts on the skin, thus activating the immune system of warm-blooded or cold-blooded vertebrates. This way, a small dose (minor number) of live viruses, bacteria etc., which are present accidentally or intentionally in the immediate vicinity of the scratched area at the time of scratching, activate the immune response (immune memory) of the epidermal cells affected. Any antigens that are created at each point of scuff are fought by antibodies of the immune system of vertebrates that are dedicated to this purpose. Spontaneous and occasional use of this device gradually trains the immune system, which in a massive attack by the same microbe recognizes the already known antigens and sends or replicates the corresponding antibodies to neutralize them. A repeated use of the immune booster jaw can gradually enhance the adaptive or specific immunity of the body.

The teeth of the scraper (4) are impregnated, enriched, coated, dipped, smeared, bathed or sprayed with immunological adjuvants, functional oils, vitamins, additives or aromatic substances contained in the depositor (3). These immune aids are colloid in form, emulsions, soluble materials, ointment, organic or inorganic powders, etc. They are delivered on the scratching surface during the use of the instrument and diffused by the tiny teeth of the scraper (4) into the subtle cuts created by the scraping on the skin. The immunological adjuvants strengthen the natural immune capacity of the body with new antibodies, while the aromatic substances that are transferred at the same time to the skin produce a pleasing effect to the person or animal to which the scratching is applied.

A simple way of presenting the advantages of the immune booster jaw is that it can be easily carried out in a handbag, pocket, wallet, etc. and thus can be used on a daily basis by all ages. It strengthens the immune system of men and animals inexpensively, without the use of drugs, vaccines or specialized substances and without the risk of addiction or side effects. It simply generates antibodies against microbes and viruses that are found freely in the environment and circulate randomly at the real site where the user is in at a given moment in time of applying the scratching (either in a bus, school, gathering place or crowded circumstances).

It is obvious that every day humans and animals come in contact with a number of pathogenic microbes that are present in the atmosphere, water, food or contaminated objects. Most of microbes are treated by the epidermal cells or are captured in the epithelium of nasal passages in the upper respiratory system, before entering the lungs of the body. When the quantity (number) of live microbes that reach the bronchi is massive (great number) it causes respiratory infections, before the body being able to defend itself. The immune booster jaw helps to gradually acquaint the immune system response to a number of microbes and trains this way in small doses the body to externally occurring viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc., which are found usually freely in the environment. This pathway creates the so called "immune memory", which is strengthened further to an initial reaction against a randomly entering pathogen into the body of a vertebrate. Gradually, the adaptive immunity of a particular body is developed which responds dynamically to subsequent attacks from the same kind of pathogenic agent.

It is generally accepted but also my observations revealed that children of modern cities, grownup presumably in a "sterile" (so to say) environment, who are playing and grown indoors in a closed environment, without contact with the countryside, the soil and others potentially infectious or allergenic agents are less resilient to diseases and prone to allergies, compared to children of rural populations, who are typically often exposed to such agents from an early age. These observations demonstrate the advantages and efficacy of the present invention which claims that the immune booster jaw strengthens the immune system in a simple way, i.e. by exposing the human body gradually to small doses (minor number) of exogenous pathogens, in the same way that happens unintentionally during inching or when getting a scratch or scuffs on the skin from accidental causes of everyday life.

The following is a complete description of the immune booster jaw, symbolically and by way of examples illustrated in five different forms in Figures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The invention is a small original innovative device, which consists of a light scraper (4) of the skin, i.e. a material surface having tiny teeth/pins, located in the head (1) or otherwise the front side of the instrument, a handle (2) that facilitates the holding of the instrument and a depositor (3) that contains immunologic adjuvants (aids) spread on the rubbed area of skin, thus enhancing the body’s response to antigens (immune memory), which provides increased protection and immunity.

The main or essential characteristics of the instrument are the scraper (4) and the depositor (3) which act in combination and complement each other to produce an immune effect in the body being applied. Immunologic adjuvants enhance immune signals and promote antibody production, providing increased protection and immunity. The depositor (3) may be a compact mass in the form of a bead, a plate, a band, a collar around a stick (Figure 2), a hollow column (Figure 1), etc. consisting of a porous solid / semi-solid material, embedded with immune aids it may also be in the form of a container (vial, phial, ampule) containing a mixture of immunologic adjuvants (immune aids) in the nature of col loids, emulsion, soluble etc. (Figure 3, 4, 5), which is part of the handle (2) of the instrument. The scraper (4) is either assembled together with the depositor (3) and constitute the head (1) of a single instrument (Figure 2, 3, 4 and 5) or mounted as a separate (independent) part of the instrument, in which case the combine use of the scraper (4) with the depositor (3) constitutes the immune booster jaw (Figure 1). The scraper (4) when is rubbed, slid or rolled with a repetitive movement on the skin irritates, scratches and creates superficial abrasions or imperceptible cuts on the skin of humans or animals to which it is applied. At the same time during the repetitive rubbing, the depositor (3) deposits on to the skin and the rubbing area, passively (due to friction) or by active mechanical means (e.g. through compression of a flexible vial) the immunologic adjuvants contained therein.

According to the invention, the scraper (4) of the immune booster jaw consists of an irregular abrasive surface, possessing tiny teeth made of inert and anti-allergenic synthetic, semi-synthetic organic solids materials or mixtures thereof. By a repetitive rubbing of the scraper (4) on human or animal skin, the teeth of the scraper (4) are able to cause a sensation of itching, abrasion, scratching, surface irritation and imperceptible cuts on the skin, as well as a sense of relief.

As a tool of personal care, the size of the instrument is small easily and discreetly carried out within a pocket, wallet, bag or special case. Respectively, the dimensions of the scraper (4), the depositor (3), the head (1) and the handle (2) of the instrument may be larger when the instrument is intended for animal use. The head (1) and the instrument itself can be in the form of a decorative or utility object (Fig. 4). The head (1) with the scraper (4) can be built together in an elongated form allowing the instrument to be held in the fingers (of the hand) without a distinct handle. The scraper (4), when is built as separate (independent) part of the instrument may be assembled or attached to an utility or decorative object and the depositor (3) may be part of the same object or be completely detached from it. In the latter case and according to the present invention, the combination of the two parts (the scraper and the depositor) constitute the immune booster jaw.

In applying the scratching by the immune booster jaw, the depositor (3) releases on the rubbing area of the skin and on the subtle cuts therein immunologic adjuvants. The impregnation or enrichment of the teeth of the scraper (4) with immune additives can be done before or during the scratching. The enrichment of the immune aids on the scratched area is done either “passively”, concurrently with the repeated dragging of the scraper (4) and/or the porous solid or semi-solid depositor (3) on the skin (Figures 1 and 2) or “actively” by compression of a flexible vial [depositor (3)] that is also the handle (2) of the instrument (Figures 3, 4 and 5). The repetitive movement that takes place during scratching diffuses the immunologic adjuvants throughout the scratched area and the teeth of the scraper (4) and thus into all the epidermal cells located in the passage of the scraper.
