Abstract:
A tilting mechanism (14) for an aircraft propulsion system comprising a support arm (18) having a support end (19) adapted for supporting the propulsion system and a guide means (21 ) to which the support arm is coupled to be moveable therealong and arranged to extend therefrom towards the support end of the support arm. An actuator means (28) is operable and arranged to engage the support arm between the guide means and the support end of the support arm to urge the support arm along the guide means. A rotator apparatus (31) is operable and arranged to rotate the guide means about a primary axis of rotation. The actuator means is connected to the guide means so as to be, by action of the rotator apparatus, revolvable about the primary axis of rotation as the guide means is rotated about the primary axis of rotation.
