Abstract:
Disclosed is an in-vehicle device (10) employed in a control system (1) in which frequencies used for transmission/reception of signals between the in-vehicle device (10) as a master unit and an electronic key (20) as a subordinate unit are known and in which, after the electronic key (20) completes reception of a desired signal from the in-vehicle device (10), an answer signal to the desired signal is transmitted within a prescribed time period. The in-vehicle device is provided with: a first transmission unit (11) that transmits a desired signal at a first frequency included in a prescribed frequency band; a second transmission unit (12) that transmits a dummy signal at a second frequency which is included in the prescribed frequency band and which is different from the first frequency; a reception unit (13) that receives, from the electronic key (20), an answer signal to the desired signal; and a control unit (14) that performs control so as to cause the dummy signal to be transmitted from the second transmission unit (12) within the period between before the first transmission unit (11) stops transmitting a desired signal and after the reception unit (13) starts to receive an answer signal.
