An in-vehicle mounting device is provided with a case (20) having a rotatable knob (convex part) (30) protruding from an instrument panel (11); and a coupling member (50) for coupling the case and a bracket (13) inside the instrument panel so that the case is fixed at a predetermined position. The coupling member has: a vehicle-side mounting part (52) to be mounted on the bracket; a case-side mounting part (51) to be detachably mounted on the case; and a coupling part (53) for coupling the vehicle-side mounting part with the case-side mounting part. The vehicle-side mounting part is connected to the coupling part in such a manner as to project from the surface of the coupling part. A fragile portion (531) is formed in the coupling part so as to surround the junction with the vehicle-side mounting part and is set so as to be damaged when an impact load greater than or equal to a predetermined value is imposed on the convex part from a driver side, thus resulting in the loss of the coupling function. This makes it possible to increase repairability after the convex part has received an impact load.
