Abstract:
This individual identification system comprises: a registration means which acquires, as registered images, captured images of to-be-registered products supplied to an upstream process of a product production line, and associates and stores, in a storage device, the registered images with product information that includes information representing the order in which the to-be-registered products passed through the upstream process; a verification order management means which manages a verification order in a downstream process; and a verification means which acquires, as verification images, captured images of to-be-verified products supplied to the downstream process, and verifies the registered images stored in the storage device and the verification images against each other according to the verification order. Each time the verification means succeeds in verification, the verification order management means updates the verification order to an order in which the registered images that are stored in the storage device and that have not been successfully verified against any of the verification images are arranged on the basis of the order in which the to-be-registered products passed through the upstream process.
