Abstract:
This inductor (1A) is provided with the following: a tube-shaped coil (2); and a magnetic core (3A) that has an inner core part (31) disposed inside the coil (2) and an outer core part (32A) that is disposed outside the coil (2) and, together with the inner core part (31), forms a closed magnetic circuit. Said outer core part (32A) is constituted from two radial segments (321, 322) that can be separated in the radial direction of the coil (2) and that comprise molded bodies (molded/cured bodies) made from a mixture containing a magnetic powder and a resin. Making the outer core part (32A) of the inductor (1A) from a plurality of segments enables a reduction in the amount of time it takes to manufacture one segment, resulting in excellent productivity. Using injection molding to form the aforementioned molded/cured bodies results in even higher productivity. The joins between the aforementioned radial segments (321, 322) do not interrupt the magnetic field lines, so there is no gap between said segments (321, 322) where the magnetic field lines are interrupted; this results in excellent magnetic characteristics.
