Abstract:
This information processing device is provided with: a first communication unit for allowing for communications with a remote maintenance device for remotely operating a machine tool; a second communication unit for allowing for communications with the machine tool; an operating unit including a remote maintenance switch; and a control unit which, in correspondence to whether the remote maintenance switch is in ON-state or OFF-state, determines whether to allow for communications for remotely operating the machine tool by the remote maintenance device, and which controls the connection and disconnection between the remote maintenance device and the machine tool. In this way, it is possible to perform remote maintenance of the machine tool while maintaining the confidentiality of information indicating the operating status of the machine tool.
