Abstract:
An ink-jet printer and a printing method therefor, which are used for printing an object, an image-and-text region to be printed of which is a cylinder or a cone. The printer comprises at least two groups of printing units arranged along a printing cross beam (5), i.e. the first direction, each group of printing units is provided with at least one printing spray head (7), the printing spray head in each group of printing units is arranged along its own length direction, i.e. the second direction, a conveying device (1) is provided below the printing spray heads; at least two objects (9) to be printed are arranged side by side in the first direction on the conveying device (1) and fixed in the second direction in a jig (2) on the conveying device (1), the upper surfaces of said objects (9) after fixed are parallel to the second direction, and when said objects (9) rotate and continuously pass below the printing units in the second direction, the printing spray heads (7) inject ink, and image and text of said objects are produced in a single pass. The printer has a compact structure, low costs, and high printing efficiency.
