Abstract:
Provided are heat-resistant inorganic fibers that are suitable for use in a filter material, sealing material, or the like and are highly bio-soluble, with the effects thereof on the human body and living environments minimized even with a mean fiber diameter of 1 µm or less. Said inorganic fibers are characterized by containing, by mass, 35% to 88% Al2O3, 3% to 45% CaO, and 5% to 40% SiO2, with Al2O3, CaO, and SiO2 totaling at least 98% of the mass of the fibers.
