Abstract:
An Internet calling method and apparatus, a computer device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: performing time-frequency transformation on an acquired audio signal, so as to obtain multiple pieces of frequency domain information of the audio signal; determining, according to the multiple pieces of frequency domain information, a target bitrate corresponding to the audio signal; and encoding the audio signal on the basis of the target bitrate, and performing Internet calling on the basis of the encoded audio signal. The invention, instead of using a fixed encoding bitrate to encode audio signals, implements encoding by determining different target bitrates for different audio signals, thus providing a solution of customized encoding for different audio signals during Internet calling, and achieving better Internet call quality compared with using a fixed encoding bitrate.
