Title:
INTOXICATION STATE DETERMINATION DEVICE AND INTOXICATION STATE DETERMINATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/014301
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention facilitates a determination of intoxication that is not predicated on the use of keywords or other specific words. An intoxication model comprises a tree structure that employs categorization criteria from sound characteristics of the voice of a person who drinks alcohol. A node in the tree structure denotes a sound characteristic in a phoneme of a person who drinks alcohol. A non-intoxication model comprises a tree structure that employs categorization criteria from sound characteristics of the voice of a person who does not drink alcohol. A node in the tree structure denotes a sound characteristic in a phoneme of a person who does not drink alcohol. First, the voice data of a subject is applied respectively to the tree structures of the intoxication model and the non-intoxication model, and the sound characteristics of the phonemes are sorted into the nodes. Next, the likelihood is calculated for the sound characteristics of the phonemes of the subject and sound characteristics that are specified with each node in each model. Next, the computed likelihood value is employed in determining whether the sound characteristics of the voice are closer to the intoxication model or the non-intoxication model.
