Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to appropriately control the amount of circulation of raw materials in the process of circulation. An inventory control and ordering device: stores past demand information on products sold at retail stores, information on a history of orders to raw material manufacturers and information on a history of storing in a company-owned warehouse, reception history information and delivery history information on raw materials, storing deadline information calculated on the basis of a best-before date or expiration date and the number of days until the best-before date or the expiration date, delivery deadline information, company-owned stock quantity information on raw materials, recipe information on products, and number-of-days management rule information indicating a use-by date management rule for raw materials for product manufacturers; predicts future demands of products and theoretical inventories in product manufacturers for each raw material; calculates necessary quantity of stocks of raw materials in the company-owned warehouse on the basis of the theoretical inventories; determines keeping quantity of each raw material in the company-owned warehouse; and calculates the quantity of orders necessary for securing inventory of the determined keeping quantity.
