Abstract:
The present invention gets desired merchandise to a customer that is shopping online, even when the merchandise has been purchased via a mobile sales vehicle. An inventory management device that comprises: a management unit that manages inventory information for merchandise held by each of a plurality of mobile sales vehicles; a first reception unit that receives sales information that indicates merchandise that has been sold at a store; a second reception unit that receives, from a customer terminal, order information that includes information on merchandise ordered on the basis of the inventory information; a transmission unit that transmits the order information to a mobile sales vehicle that holds the ordered merchandise included in the order information; and a detection unit that, before the merchandise included in the order information is to be delivered to a delivery destination, detects whether the merchandise is sold out at the store of the mobile sales vehicle to which the order information was transmitted. When it has been detected that the merchandise is sold out, the transmission unit transmits the order information to another mobile sales vehicle that holds the ordered merchandise included in the order information. The management unit updates the inventory information on the basis of the sales information and/or the order information.
