Abstract:
The present invention relates to an inverse gradient-structured metal plate, a manufacturing method therefor, and a continuous shear deformation apparatus for a metal plate, wherein a metal plate is sequentially subjected to complex shear deformation and then subsequent heat treatment, thereby ensuring high productivity as well as expressing a distinctive microstructure called an inverse gradient structure, leading to an enhancement in both strength and ductility of the metal plate. The present invention employs a continuous shear deformation apparatus using a single roll in order to ensure high productivity and induce complex shear deformation in the metal plate. Therefore, the metal plate is subjected to complex shear deformation in the order of circumferential shear deformation, channel angular shear deformation, and surface shear deformation, so that the amount of shear deformation is accumulated relatively highly in the center portion compared with the surface portion of the metal plate, and in the subsequent heat treatment, re-crystallization and crystal grain growth behaviors between the surface portion and the center portion are heterogeneous, to result in the expression of an inverse gradient structure having fine crystal grains in the center portion and coarse crystal grains in the surface portion.
