Description:
IONIZED WOODEN BOARD

FIELD OF INVENTION The present invention relates generally to wooden board, and more particularly to ionized wooden board.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION A variety of consumer goods are prepared from wood, including plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), glue-up laminates, particle board, chip board, flooring, panelling and the like. The wooden board may be used in a very wide variety of applications, for example as construction materials such as framing lumber, decorative woodwork, flooring, cabinet, furniture and the like. Know from prior art are various wood boards, forexample plywood, veneer boards, of different types which using different chemical and adhesive compositions in connection of the wood boards, and with different coating to the wood boards, depending upon the application and use in end purpose that give favorable and satisfactory results. lt is found to be found that there are many health benefits of negative ions which are related to breathing fresh, healthy air. Many researches have been done and are scientifically proved that a very small quantity of negative ions can kill airborne bacteria causing flu and respiratory infections. Medical reports also show the relation between the negative ions and the decrease of the serotonin levels in the body, leading to acalming effect from fever, and asthma attacks and also reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. One of the benefits of negative ions is reducing the fatigue and depression symptom, while favoring concentration, positive thinking and help productivity at work.

It is also known that ions are invisible particles, either molecules or atoms, which bear 5an electric charge. Atoms, for instance, consist of an atomic nucleus that contains neutral neutrons and positively charged protons, as well as orbiting electrons that are negatively charged. When an atom is in a neutral condition, the number of protons (+) and electrons (-) is equal. When the number of protons and electrons is not the same, the particle becomes an ion that is either positively or negatively charged. The positively lOcharged ion, i.e. Positive Ion (Cation), is an atom (or molecule) that has lost one or more electrons due to a high-energy impact. Natural forces that generate positive ions include the decay of radioactive minerals, radon gas, forest fires, lightning and ultraviolet rays. Whereas the negative charged ion, i.e. Negative Ion (Anion), is an atom (or molecule) that has gained one or more extra negatively charged electrons. Negative ions are

15naturally generated by evaporating water, ocean surf, waterfalls and ionic minerals such as Tourmaline and Germanium.

Know from the art that the negative ions can also be artificially generated by electrical devices such as, for example, air Ionizer or negative ion generator which uses an 20external power source (electricity) to generate large quantities of Negative Ions.

In view of these and other aspects, it is particularly beneficial to take advantage of the negative ions, and to be implemented into wooden board for use in various applications. Accordingly, the present invention provides ionized wooden board with negative ions 25that carries a natural, healthy frequency compatible with both human health and environment, and with low formaldehyde emission.
