Abstract:
Provided is a method for laser-marking an iron-based sintered compact, the method comprising: a first step for forming, using a first laser beam, a plurality of dot-shaped concave portions having a predetermined depth in an area for an identification mark on the surface of an iron-based sintered compact; and a second step for flattening, using a second laser beam, the surface in the area for an identification mark except the dot-shaped concave portions, wherein the irradiation energy of the first laser beam per unit area is larger than the irradiation energy of the second laser beam per unit area.
